How exactly does one calculate the aspect ratio of their cat? Not being an engineer, I know nothing of these things.

Length divided by width.
Say Alpine, Lara's cat, he's 16 inches long by 6 inches long. 2.6 aspect ratio. He's average I guess for a maine coon but still chunky...
Her 2nd Cat, Lexus looks like a beached baby seal when she's on her side, she's 16 inches long by 8 inches wide. that's an aspect ratio of 2.
Shamus, my big Marmalade tomcat, is 20 inches by 7 inches. His aspect ratio is 2.8. Hes older so isn't s heavy as he used to be. So he's fairly lean, but he's also an active (for a cat) outdoor cat.
